Children
should be given opportunities to explore and pursue their own needs and
interests. They should be encouraged to identify problems and
deficiencies in their everyday environment and be given opportunities
to apply the technological knowledge and skills they have acquired in
technology lessons and through previous problem-solving experiences
(Adams, 1991).
